About me and the club
Hi, I’m Ria, and I very randomly created London Coffee Club in May 2026.
A little about me first, I’m an M&A professional in the UK and the founder of Blogs on Markets. Like many people living in London, I had friends scattered across the city, but between work, busy schedules and life generally getting in the way, meeting everyone individually became difficult. And, despite being surrounded by people, London could sometimes feel a little lonely.
So, one day in May, I put my friends into a WhatsApp group and called it London Coffee Club simply because whenever we did manage to meet, it was usually over coffee.
Then friends brought friends. Those friends brought more people. And somehow, what started as a random WhatsApp group began turning into a little community of its own.
Today, London Coffee Club is predominantly a community of young professionals in and around London who want to meet people, have good conversations and build genuine connections in a relaxed setting. We usually host 1–2 coffee meetups each month at independent cafés around London, intentionally capped at around 10 people so nobody gets lost in a crowd.
We also created Coffee & Learn, where we invite someone with an interesting and relatable journey to share their experiences, lessons and practical advice with the community. These sessions are slightly bigger, usually around 15–20 people, but the idea remains the same: to learn and grow together without turning it into another formal networking event.
There’s no pressure here to network, pitch yourself or walk into the room trying to impress anyone.
Come as you are. Have a coffee, make some friends, learn something new and enjoy being a Londoner with your people.
